**Practice your steps of Penance!! We have been practicing in class but it is approaching soon!  
** School book fair will be this coming Thursday, March 7th. Parents are invited to shop with their child. Second grade will be attending the fair from 9:55 - 10:20. 
** KEEP THE MATH BOOK HOME!! We will be starting Volume 2 on Monday! 

** Scholastic Book orders due March 11th. Our class code is GL7NX.

** If you have a favorite Dr. Seuss book, please bring it to school TOMORROW to share with eachother!

**LAST CALL ON HEARTS PURCHASE!! The last round of hearts for the contest will be sold tomorrow. They are selling for 3/$1 or .50 each. All money will be donated to the American Heart Association! The class with the most decorated hearts will win a free dress down.

** Lent project was sent home. Please complete slowly throughout the Lenten season. The idea is to promote good deeds and kind behavior.

February 14- Wednesday

2. Math Valentine's Day subtraction practice sheet.
3. Study your vocabulary from "Money Matters" and "I Wanna Iguana" for a quiz next week.
** Lent project was sent home today. Please read the directions again with your child and have them complete this slowly! It should not all be colored in one night. The idea is to promote good deeds and kind behavior.

February 12- Monday
1. Spelling words from week 11, #1-5 five times each. Write a sentence for each.
2. Practice your "Steps of Penance" glued into your religion notebook.
** Study for Religion Test- Chapter 10
** Review verbs for a test this Wednesday. 
** 100th Day of School POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY, FEB. 16!! Second grade can dress as a 100 year old or wear a 100 days themed shirt. We will work on some 100 day themed activities in class! 
** NO SCHOOL TOMORROW! Snow day!
** $2 Dress down in pink/red this Wednesday.

** Next Tuesday, 2/13 will be our 100th day of school! You may dress down as a 100 year old, wear a creative 100 days t-shirt or sweatshirt or both! 
** Next Wednesday, 2/14 will be a "pink and red" $2 dress down. 
** There will be no school February 19th and February 20th.

Sign into Raz-Kids and read a few books from your level-up room or read something on your own for 15 minutes a night. 

Practice some two digit subtraction with regrouping! 

I know I'm a little off schedule, but test folders went home today. They will also go home next Tuesday. 

NO tests next week. 


February 1- Thursday
** No homework tonight! 
** Dress down in sports attire. Please bring a can of soup to donate!
