Catholic Schools week was quite busy at our school. It began with our annual "Souper" Bowl Monday and firemen visits to discuss fire safety. It then continued with our annual Book Fair, Dine Out hosted by NJHS, Parent Appreciation morning, Grade 2 First Penance, Student Appreciation day which included making your own ice-cream sundaes during lunch, Faculty/Staff Appreciation day, and school mass hosted by grade 4. Capping off our special week was our Father Daughter Dance. Also part of our events was our Catholic Schools week door decorating contest. Grade 3 was voted the winner by our students. Students also enjoyed teamwork building with other grades. Pre-K 3, Pre-K For All worked with grade 8 to make bubbles in our Science lab. Kindergarten visited grade 7 and worked on a Religion project. Grade 1 was visited by Grade 6 and made a craft. Grade 2 was visited by grade 5 and they worked on math problems. Grades 3 and 4 worked together in the Science lab on a science experiment. I also enjoyed reading their chosen favorite book to Pre-K 3 through 1st grades.
Faculty and staff enjoyed a delicious lunch courtesy of the SRPO and school families. A special thank you to the hospitality committee for organizing this.
Students enjoyed making their own ice-cream sundaes, regardless of the temperatures outside. My special gift to them, in addition to their complimentary dress down. Thank you to the hospitality committee and parent volunteers for assisting with the ice-cream.
