We began our morning with our Career Day assembly. Thank you to the following parents that took the time from their schedules to share with us: Mrs. Ciulla, Mrs. Eckelmann, Mrs.Vuotto and Mr. Curry. Faculty/Staff enjoyed a delicious lunch...thank you! Grades 2 and 5 worked together and made play dough in the Science lab. Pre-K For All green and grade 8 worked together in the Science lab making bubbles. I enjoyed reading to Kindergarten, Pre-K For All yellow, Pre-K For All green and grade 1. It is wonderful to spend time with the students reading and talking.
Students enjoyed their student spirit day dressing in blue or gold (yellow). They participated in activities during gym or gross motor play. The overall team that won was the BLUE team. They will receive a dress down day...date to be announced. All students enjoyed making their own ice cream sundaes during lunch. My gift to them for Catholic Schools week. Pre-K 3 and grade 6 worked together on a painting activity. Pre-K For all yellow and grade 8 worked together in the science lab making bubbles.
We began our morning welcoming our parents into our classrooms for Parent Appreciation morning. It was great to see everyone and a great time was had in all of our classrooms. Parents enjoyed a small reception afterwards. Congratulation to grade 2 on receiving their First Penance this afternoon. Kindergarten and 6th grade read a book together followed by a craft. Grades 3 & 4 worked together in our Science lab making carbon dioxide. I also enjoyed reading to Pre-K For All blue with the book of their choice.
All grades enjoyed our annual book fair. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers. Students looked great in their creative hats representing their favorite book and or characters from a book.
We had a great start to our Catholic Schools week (CSW) events. Everyone looked great in their sports attire to support SOUPER BOWL MONDAY. Grade 8 and Pre-K For All Blue worked together making bubbles in our Science lab. Grades 1 & 7 worked together on math skills and learning how to tally using skittles. Our annual firemen visit to all of our classrooms to discuss fire safety.
