1.ELA/Phonics/Writing: Due to MAP testing there will not be any written homework. However, please review all short vowel word families. Also please read on a consistent basis. This will benefit your child greatly.
2. Math : Please review " counting on..." from any number. Also your child should be able to recognize all numbers - 1- 120.
3.Read for 20 minutes.......loud and proud.....!

~MAP testing - Grades K-2nd will be testing this week. Please send your child in with headphones if you have not already done so. This test is used as a diagnostic tool to show your child's academic growth. I then use the data to plan accordingly throughout the year. Please have your child eat a good breakfast and get a good night of sleep.
~Winter Uniform - begins today - October 1st....!!!Please see Dress Code on my Homework tab above...( directly taken from our handbook if you have any questions)

**************Due to MAP testing - I have not assigned any written homework. Also we will not be having a Spelling test this Friday. However, tonight I am assigning our first Homework on our new platform Readworks.org - This site will focus and improve your child's vocabulary skills as well as comprehension skills. I will be posting this assignment on the HW posts on a daily basis. - Unless - I change the assignment and will post an assignment from Seesaw - ( Home learning codes and more info will follow soon) I do incorporate these grades into their ELA grades each quarter. Each assignment has a due date and with your help I would appreciate it if you can follow through as I am trying to instill how important it is to be responsible for all homework and classwork assignments. Please go to www.readworks.org/student - Enter
Class Code: X6MB26 password: 1234 -Click on Assignments: Please have your child complete the Vocabulary activity before reading the text with you or you can read it to them. - Then complete our first assignment: Tiny Animals Can Be Helpers - Please encourage your child to refer back to the text to find their answers and question # 8 can be completed on a separate piece of paper and returned with your child tomorrow - in their H- folder.

~First Hundred Sight Word List: - Please keep this list in their H-folder everyday, as we will be using it in class as well. If you can review these words, that would be great ! - thank you -
2. Math - Sum Fun with a Spinner!!! - Provide a paper clip for your child to place in the middle of the circle. Place your pencil in the middle of the paper clip. Flick the paper clip so to make it spin. Use the first number that you land on from the first spinner and then add it to the number that you land on from the second spinner ! Add the equations to find the sum...- Write all equations on a separate piece of paper. Have fun!!!
Also complete the addition worksheet as well.
3. Readworks.org - Go to www.readworks.org/student - enter Class Code: X6MB26 - Assignment: Ticks and Insects ! - Encourage your child to read along with you. Encourage your child sound out the words. - Refer back to the text and complete all questions. Place question # 8 on a separate piece of paper. Happy Reading! - thank you -
