Homework and Reminders for Friday, September 8th, 2023
"....my grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness...." corinthians 12:9
Happy Friday!"
1. Read for 20 minutes with your child each day over the weekend. This special time is such a benefit for your child's reading experience. - Encourage your child to sound out words or even read on their own to you - loud and proud!
Please see above regarding notebooks labeled accordingly.
2. Cover all textbooks that were sent home today. I actually just sent home the Religion book today. ( I am only able to send these books one at a time as they are very heavy.)
3.H - folder - As you have noticed the H folder will be our form of communication in reference to transporting important flyers that need to go home. Homework Worksheets - if I assign a Math worksheet for that particular night, you will find the worksheet in that folder. I would appreciate it if you could return the H folder on a daily basis. Most importantly - if you find the need to correspond with me via handwritten note - as that may be easier for you - than that is where you can leave the note for me - as I will be checking all H folders on a daily basis. Completed Homework will also be returned in the H - folder. Also this will be mentioned at the Welcome Back meeting as well. You can also email me whichever you find comfortable to you.
4. Staying Hydrated ! - Since I will be able to share all information on Monday night - just wanted to give some info here: Please send your child in with some extra plastic bottles. You may also provide your child with a Hydro container if you would like - however, they will be available throughout day but in a designated area. I found these containers to be large and cumbersome and leave not much room for the children to complete their assignments on their own desk. The plastic bottles are more accomodating within their workspace. A great idea would be to freeze these bottles over night which would be very helpful.
~Please send your child in with a " silent reading book" - that they absolutely love to read. Everyday - we drop everything and read for 15 minutes....it is very helpful for the students to choose a book that they are very interested in.
~More info to follow at our Welcome Back night! I am looking forward to meeting you on Monday, night at 7:00 beginning in the Church. - Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all transition into this great new learning experience! - Enjoy your weekend - Ms. Borik -
